Employment Relations in Ireland

This module examines central issues in employment relations (ER) in Ireland embracing both developments in human resource management and industrial relations. The module examines multinationals and ER trade unions workplace partnership pay determination and the breakdown of social partnership and developments in ER in the public sector. The module considers the effects of the recession on the conduct of ER. Developments in Ireland are considered in theoretical and comparative context and with a view to their practical implications for the management of ER
